InsideTrac consists of two components: A set of Grease Monkey scripts, and a Trac plugin. If you've followed the steps over at InsideTracInstall, you already have everything installed and ready to use.
Grease Monkey Integration
In the upper right of the screen, usually right above the "Search" or "Admin" link, you will see a link named "InsideTrac GM". Clicking this link will allow you to install the Grease Monkey script for InsideTrac.
With this installed, you will now be able to visit SourceForge, BitBucket, or any Trac installation, and view the ticket lists. When you see a ticket you are interested in on those listing pages (not the individual ticket pages), you will see a "IT: InsideTrac Project Name" link at the far right of the table. Clicking that will take you to a new ticket form on your Trac installation with some of the fields pre-filled for you.
This will help you to keep track of open tickets in which you are interested more easily. Future versions will automatically pull the ticket information into Trac, and update the remote issue tracker directly.
RSS Feed Integration
After you have added RSS feeds, their entries will now appear in your timeline. If you click on the link, you will see an entry that will allow you to filter on those RSS feeds, just like wiki entries or ticket entries.
To add RSS feeds, follow the steps at InsideTracConfig.
